United Way of the Chattahoochee Valley is incredibly grateful for the support of the community in Phenix City and Russell County this year. Because of an amazing effort from our Alabama-based businesses, foundations, individual donors, and our Phenix City-Russell County campaign chair Roz Durden and her cabinet, we were able to reach our goal, ensuring we can once again serve all residents of our community in the coming year.
We are especially appreciative of our Board of Directors representatives from Phenix City/Russell. They are Ms. Cheryl Burns-Phenix City Schools, Dr. Brenda Coley - Russell County Schools, Mr. Sebastian Dixon - Alabama Power Co., Mrs. Melissa Gauntt-BEAM, Dr. Dionne Rosser-Mims - Troy University, Mrs. Jackie Screws-Chattahoochee Valley Community College and Police Chief Ray Smith-City of Phenix City. Our commitment to Phenix City and Russell County is strong and growing, in fact in 2020, 18% of the clients who accessed United Way funded programs were Phenix City/Russell County residents.
Also, very recently United Way was named partner of the year at Phenix City Elementary School for our work in the school through Community Schools United. Thank you again Phenix City/Russell County for your commitment to our United Way!
